5.8 Levels of assessment—Operational work

The following table identifies the levels of assessment for operational work.

(a) resulting in a retaining wall greater than 1m or an increase in depth or height of the ground level or finished design level by 1 vertical metre or more;
(b) complying with all compliance outcomes;

Filling and excavation code—all compliance outcomes
If other operational work, where:
(a) requiring a compliance permit in accordance with a condition of approval of a development permit;
(b) complying with all compliance outcomes
Operational work code—all compliance outcomes

Note—The Operational work code and Landscape work code are also applicable to documents or work relating to development and requiring approval of a compliance certificate arising from a condition of a development approval.

Code assessment
If filling or excavation, where:
(a) resulting in a retaining wall greater than 1m or an increase in depth or height of the ground level or finished design level by 1 vertical metre or more;
(b) not complying with all compliance outcomes
If filling or excavation for an artificial stormwater channel
If other operational work:
(a) preceding a ROL or MCU which is assessable development; or
(b) requiring a compliance permit in accordance with a condition of approval of a development permit, where not complying with all compliance outcomes
If prescribed tidal work
Impact assessment
If extracting gravel, rock, sand or soil from the place where it occurs naturally
The planning scheme including:
Exempt development
Any other operational work not listed in this table.
